6th December, Saturday 2008. Maintenance Day. Due to overwhelming response on the previous occasion there has been a request for another one before Xmas. Start time is 10 am at 44 Chapel Lane Baulkham Hills for morning tea. There will be a charge of $5 for a sausage sizzle lunch. Contact Neville Jones if attending  9639 7044 or (M) 0428 293 301.

7th December, Sunday 2008. Nurragingy Reserve, Doonside. Entrance is in  Knox Rd . Meet at 10 am near the Colebee Centre/ Jannawi Garden complex. The Club BBQ will be available provided there is not a total fire ban. Enquiries Peter Wigzell 9837 2490.

12th December, Friday 2008. General meeting & Xmas supper. Ladies please bring a plate.

17th January, Saturday 2009. New Year BBQ. Meet 3.30 pm at Lambeth St Reserve, Henry Lawson Drive, Picnic Point.

19th Sun. April to 8th Fri. May 2009. MAFC of NSW Inc Outback Adventure -  20 days and 19 nights. This could be your chance of a lifetime to visit the outback. Visiting Dubbo(2 nights),Cobar(1),Broken Hill(2),Quorn(1),Arkaroola(2),Wilpena Pound(2), Woomera(2),Port Augusta(2),Burra(1),Renmark(1),Balranald(1),Narrandera(1),Yass(1) then home. Special attractions -  Rocket range tour, visit Roxby Downs & opal mining at Andamooka, and steam train trip from Port Augusta via Pichi Richi railway to Quorn & return. Wednesday Wanderer’s Events

3rd December, Wednesday 2008. Xmas Lunch at Brooklyn & Visit to Dangar Island.

Train leaves Central at 10.45 am, Strathfield at 10.58 am, Eastwood at 11.07 am & Hornsby 11.21 am arriving at Hawkesbury River at 11.44 am. Meet in 4th carriage from front. Suggest fish and chips at Brooklyn then depart on 1 pm ferry to Dangar Island for coffee and cake. Return on 3 pm ferry. Train leaves at 3.51 pm arriving Hornsby at 4.19 pm and Central at 4.56 pm. Ferry is $5.40 concession return. If raining we will go to Gosford instead for lunch at Central Coast Leagues Club. Enquiries Barb and Norm Bosher 9871 2030.
